George Langbroek emigrated from the Netherlands in 1953 at age 9. He has lived in the Niagara Peninsula ever since. He began his art career after both of his children were going to school and he was also able to go back to study art, joining a group of fellow Christian artists at Patmos Studio and Gallery in Toronto and went to Three Schools of Art, consentrating on the fundamentals of the human form.

Between ’83 to ‘85 he explored the medium of etching at Dundas School of Art under the late Gerry Zeldin.Intaglio colour viscosity etching has been Langbroeks’ main media for expression of his poetic vision of the human condition.

Langbroek has also designed numerous liturgical banners and Pulpits, communion table and baptismal fount. He has also been juried into the OSA and SCA.

In 2001 he was instrumental in establishing the Jordan Art Gallery.
